Geometry is everywhere around us, yet many students are overwhelmed by the demands of learning the mathematics of geometry. This Notebooking Central booklet is focused on the underlying concepts of geometry and is aptly titled: Beginning Concepts and Applications. This dual language edition booklet contains the same content as the English version, with template labels in Spanish. Notes to the teacher and instructional suggestions remain in English. We recognize that there are many dialects and preferred Spanish wording dependent on geographical locale, student population served, curricula used, and other factors. On some page headings and on anchor tab labels, you may note alternate terms or wording used. In your teaching, you may prefer one term over another. Please replace prior to sharing with students or have students write in replacement wording as you see fit.
When a Visual Kinesthetic Vocabulary manipulative did not "work" in Spanish, as with a homophone, for example, we opted to leave it in English for use as good second/dual language practice. Whenever feasible, templates include both English and Spanish. If a template is text-heavy, only Spanish is utilized.
