These quotes, separated in time by nearly 300 years, illustrate positive attitudes about health and allude to the importance of making healthy choices. But how are positive attitudes formed, and how do students learn the skills necessary for making healthy choices?
Health education--at home and at school, through example and instruction--has an obligation to teach strategies that students can implement to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and social health. This Notebooking Central booklet contains templates that present basic health information, encourage students to adopt healthy behaviors, warn students of safety hazards, and teach preventive measures for a healthier, safer lifestyle. Learning about health is a very personal journey, and notebooking allows for the individualization and privacy needed by students.
